Credentials
Vinia Valmy Estivens is a Licensed Mental Health Clinician trained to assess, diagnose, and treat emotional, behavioral, and mental health disorders across the lifespan. She earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University, and an Associate of Science from Brigham Young University–Idaho.
Vinia brings over seven years of experience providing mental health and substance use treatment services. Her clinical experience includes work at the State Hospital in Pembroke Pines, The Drug Abuse Foundation, Jerome Golden Center for Behavioral Health, and The Hanley Center at Origins. She also completed internships at Family Center for Recovery and Transformations Treatment Center (detox level of care), where she gained specialized experience in addiction treatment and recovery support.
Vinia utilizes a person-centered approach, offering a supportive, trustworthy, and non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences. She believes therapy should empower individuals to take ownership of their lives while being met with compassion and understanding exactly where they are.
Vinia recognizes that each person’s life experiences shape their identity and worldview. She has observed that struggles with financial stability, educational achievement, relationships, or simply managing daily life can contribute to diminished self-worth and self-esteem—often perpetuating cycles of mental health challenges and addiction. Her goal is to help clients build insight, resilience, and confidence so they can move toward meaningful and sustainable change.
Vinia is known for her warm, empathic presence and her ability to build strong therapeutic rapport. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, families, and groups, and is passionate about helping clients heal, grow, and thrive.
